The wheel set for the Su-33 1:32 is a 3D printed resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Su-33 carrier-borne fighter in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin 3D printed set replaces the landing gear wheels of a model of the Su-33 in 1:32 scale. The wheels show the deformation of the tire under the weight of the aircraft. The set of the same name with the 3D suffix is cut for the 3D printed landing gear legs from Temp Models; this variant states no such tie. It is not a model of an aircraft but a replacement part for one.
The Su-33 is the carrier-borne version of the heavy Su-27 fighter, intended for operation from an aircraft carrier. Against the land-based version it has a folding wing, canards, a strengthened landing gear and an arrestor hook. Landing on a deck means a hard touchdown without a flare, so the landing gear and the tires are built for considerably higher loads. It is precisely the settling of the tires and the more robust wheels that set a carrier-borne machine apart from a land-based one.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Fit the weighted wheels so that the flattened part of the tire sits on the surface, otherwise the model does not stand naturally.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
