Magazine pouches for the MP 38 and MP 40 submachine guns in 1:16 scale. An equipment accessory for large figures of German soldiers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MP 38 and MP 40 were German submachine guns of the Second World War that fed from a straight box magazine. A soldier carried spare magazines in pouches hung on his belt, usually one set on each side of the body. One of the pouches tended to have a smaller pocket for a magazine loader. These pouches are among the items of equipment by which a German infantryman is recognized at first glance.
The package consists of separate magazine pouches in 1:16 scale, that is, in a large figure scale where a figure stands about 11 cm tall. At such a size the equipment is seen close up, including the buckles, the straps and the folds. You attach the pouches to the belt of a figure, to its chest, or you lay them down in the scene, on a crate, on a vehicle seat or on the ground beside a sleeping figure.
The set suits modelers who build and modify figures of German soldiers in a large scale, and builders of display scenes where the equipment is seen close up. The package holds the pouches only. A figure, a weapon, a belt, glue and paints are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
