An accessory set of landing flaps for the model of the Boeing B-377 Stratocruiser airliner in 1:144 scale, intended for Minicraft kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing 377 Stratocruiser was a postwar airliner with a double-deck fuselage whose upper and lower parts met in a characteristic waist. It grew out of a military predecessor and was powered by four radial piston engines. On board it offered luxury unusual for its time, including a lounge on the lower deck, and it flew long-haul routes across the ocean. In 1:144 scale the wingspan of the model works out at around thirty centimeters.
The set brings accessory parts of the landing flaps for a model in 1:144 scale. Flaps in the lowered position change the overall impression of a model: an aircraft with the landing gear down and the flaps retracted looks static, whereas lowered mechanisms lend the wing movement. The set is intended for Minicraft kits, and the specific seating procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the fine edges are not damaged. Count on the seating possibly calling for rework of the kit's wing, so dry fit the parts first. Small joints are held well by super glue applied in spots. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, or the paint will not adhere evenly.
The set suits a modeler who builds airliners in a small scale and wants the wing in a position other than the factory one. The package contains only the accessory parts; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
