The K808 is a modern wheeled armored vehicle brought into service with the South Korean ground forces. Wheels rather than tracks mean quick movement along made-up roads, less noise and considerably lower maintenance demands, which is decisive in a carrier meant to move infantry. The armored hull protects the crew and the soldiers being carried, and on a model it reads well even unpainted, because the shapes are angular and clearly bounded.
For anyone who wants a military vehicle on the shelf without a long build, for collectors of modern hardware and as a first encounter with a kit for a newcomer whom gluing and sanding would put off.
