The gray shade FS 36081 from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive in a 10 ml package. It is thinned with the thinner intended for this range.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation FS 36081 comes from the American Federal Standard 595, in which shades are described by a five-digit number. The leading three means a matte surface, and the rest of the number defines the particular tone. In this case it is a darker neutral gray, a shade used in modeling on large areas where it does not overwhelm the detail. The standard is useful to a modeler precisely because build instructions and color profiles refer to it, so you do not have to guess a shade from a photograph.
An acrylic paint of the Real Colors range in a bottle of 10 ml. The range is meant for modelers who work from the numbers in standards, and the shades in it relate to one another, so they can be combined within one finish. The thinner is supplied separately and it is best to use the one the manufacturer specifies for the range.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use; the pigment settles at the bottom. Apply the paint in several thin coats and let each flash off, because one thick coat floods the engraving and the rivets. The thinning ratio for spraying and for brushing is given by the manufacturer on the packaging; keep to it and do not mix the paint with thinners from other ranges. A matte surface picks up dirt more readily and takes washes better, so before picking out detail and before the decals, go over the area with gloss varnish.
The thinner, the brushes and the varnishes are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
