Eight shades of Polish ground equipment: the three-color camouflage to NATO standards, the scheme of 2014 and the desert finishes.
Responsibility details are not available.
The foundation is the trio that the Polish army took over on joining NATO: the green FS 34094, the brown FS 30051 and the black FS 37030, each with a corresponding counterpart in the German RAL scale. It is exactly this combination that most of the equipment modelers build wears, from tanks to wheeled armored vehicles.
In 2014 a pattern built on two new tones was added, a gray-green and a gray-sand, which in Polish units appear on the Leopard 2A5 tanks, on the upgraded PT-91 and on the wheeled Rosomak. The desert part of the set aims elsewhere: the beige RAL 1001 belongs to the Rosomak vehicles deployed in Afghanistan and the sand FS 33531 to the American HMMWV and M-ATV vehicles that Poland operated at the same time. The last bottle, the yellowish olive RAL 6014, covers support equipment, that is trucks and trailers, which in a modeling display case usually get no attention.
The reach of the set is therefore wider than the name suggests. These are not the colors of one vehicle but the palette of one army in three different periods and two climatic zones. For building a column this means that the support vehicles and the combat equipment come out of one package and the shades between them stay in tune with one another.
