Reddish Black is a modeling acrylic paint from Abteilung 502 in its acrylic, that is water-thinnable, range. The shade is a reddish black, a warm dark color which on a model does not look as hard and dead as a neutral black. It is precisely pure black that is the most common reason why shadows on figures and vehicles look like a hole and the detail in them disappears. A warm black holds the form and ties in with the browns and reds around it.
It is thinned with water or an acrylic thinner, never with a lacquer or oil thinner. Shake before work. Dark shades usually have strong covering power, so it is better to add them gradually when thinning, otherwise they easily overpower the surrounding color. Into lighter tones it is best mixed in very small amounts.
For painters of figures and busts who work with graded shading, and for builders of vehicles who want dark areas with color depth. It also suits as a universal dark component in mixes of your own.
Keep out of the reach of children. Ventilate the area while working, do not eat or drink, and do not pour paint residues down the drain.
