A water-thinnable acrylic paint of 17 ml from the AIR aviation range. RLM 65 (1938) captures the earlier, more markedly blue version of the light blue the Luftwaffe used on undersurfaces. The paint has a flat finish, sprays like a lacquer and is ready for the airbrush, yet it is thinned with water or with AK acrylic thinner and it is non-toxic and not flammable.
RLM 65 Hellblau was the standard underside color of German aircraft from the second half of the 1930s. The 1938 version corresponds to the earlier, more saturated blue mix as it appeared on the undersides of the Bf 109 E, the He 111 and the Ju 88 at the beginning of the war. During the conflict the shade gradually changed.
For modelers building early war German aircraft who want exactly the early variant of the underside blue.
