An airbrush accessory from the U-STAR brand. The manifold goes into the air line between the source of pressure and the hoses to the airbrushes and, according to the name, makes it possible to connect three airbrushes at the same time. The original name reads Three-Port Joint Coupling (Connect 3 Airbrushes), but it is an ordinary workshop fitting, not an airbrush itself.
Anyone who sprays several colors one after another knows the delay of constantly washing out a single airbrush. When the airbrushes are connected side by side, you can have each one ready for a different job and simply pick up the one you need at that moment. It saves time and above all reduces the risk of a remnant of the previous color getting into fresh paint. It also does away with repeatedly changing the quick coupling over, which wears the seal out in time.
The second typical situation is a shared bench. Two modelers can work from one air source without having to keep passing the hose to each other. On longer building projects, where the painting stretches over several evenings, such a small simplification of the workplace shows more than it seems at first glance.
Before you buy, compare the thread of the manifold with the thread of your hose and of your air source. The airbrushes and the hoses are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
