A transparent acrylic ink in a 30 ml glass bottle with a dosing pipette. It is a toning medium, not a covering paint: the coat stays translucent and what is under it remains visible. That is exactly the point of it, because the color mixes optically with whatever lies beneath. The surface dries matte and the manufacturer states high lightfastness, specifically level eight on the blue wool scale.
A toning ink differs from a wash in that it does not aim for the hollows but recolors the whole surface evenly. It therefore suits anywhere the shade is meant to shift rather than the relief to be brought out, and it can be layered until the saturation you want is reached.
It is not a covering paint. If you need to recolor a dark surface or cover an area in one pass, reach for the covering version of the same range or for an ordinary acrylic paint. A transparent ink on a dark surface will show practically nothing.
The ink is hard to remove once dry, so cover your working surface. Work in a ventilated space and keep it out of reach of children.
