Vivid Green is an acrylic from the Quick Gen Color range intended for figures and gaming models. It is thinned with water or with the medium from the same range and needs no lacquer or synthetic thinner. The shade is a bright, strongly saturated green - a color for accents, effects and the surfaces that are meant to draw the eye, not for camouflage schemes on vehicles.
It comes out best over a light ground; over a dark base it loses its brightness and looks muddy, so lay a medium gray or a pale green underneath it. It suits glowing elements, poisonous and magical effects, decorative stripes, cloak linings and parts of armor. As a glaze over silver or a metal ground it gives the metal a color cast that keeps the sheen underneath.
Saturated greens react to lighting more than muted tones do. Under warm yellow light they shift toward olive, while under cold white LEDs they come out poisonous. A model painted under a desk lamp can therefore look different in the display case from what you intended. It is worth painting under light that at least approaches the color temperature of the place where the model will finally stand, and trying the finished piece in the case before the final varnish. A small thing helps too: put a neutral gray or bone tone next to the saturated green to give the eye a reference - alongside it a shift in the lighting shows up at once.
Work in a ventilated area. Close the bottle carefully after use.
