This is a dark aluminum metallic paint (a lacquer) from the manufacturer AK Interactive from the Xtreme Metal range, not a kit. It creates a darker shade of aluminum with a metallic sheen that can be polished once dry. The paint is ready for the airbrush, covers excellently and does not damage plastic. It is ideal as a companion to the lighter aluminum and duralumin shades — the contrast lets you set the individual panels apart and pick out wear. It reaches its best effect over a smooth gloss black base (Xtreme Metal Black Base). It is supplied in a bottle of 30 ml.
For modelers of aircraft, vehicles and other hardware who build natural metal surfaces and need subtle differences of shade between panels. Working with an airbrush and a gloss base assumes a rather more experienced user; the result is a realistic metal surface with a depth that ordinary silver paint cannot offer.
A paint on a lacquer base. Highly flammable, and the fumes irritate the respiratory tract. Apply it only with an airbrush in a well-ventilated area or in an extraction booth, use a respirator and eye protection. Keep out of the reach of children and away from open flame.
