A collector's scale model of a particular work of the Czechoslovak heavy fortifications, worked up from the original drawings by a Czech manufacturer focused on models of fortifications. The 1:1000 scale captures the typical mass of the casemate with its turret work and suits a display cabinet as well as layouts of a fortified line.
The K-Bg-S 12 Na kote was a work of the Hurka artillery fortress intended for a rotating and retractable artillery turret. It is among the best-preserved works of the fortress; its concreting took place in the spring of 1938. The underground galleries of the fortress connecting the artillery works were fitted with a narrow-gauge fortress railway. The fighting crew of the work was to be several dozen soldiers.
The mass of the concrete is brought out by gray tones with a fine wash into the joints and drybrushing on the edges. The model looks good set into a terrain base with a hilltop and low vegetation, which recalls the real placement of the work in the landscape.
