FGDY32 is the works body code of the Y32 generation, the Limited designation corresponds to an equipment level and the year 1991 to the introduction of the real subject. The Nissan Cima was the brand's most luxurious sedan and a symbol of the Japanese car industry at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The Y32 generation arrived in 1991 and, beside six-cylinders, offered a gasoline V8 of roughly 4.1 liters from the VH family. The car was built on soft suspension, a richly equipped interior and quiet running; in Japan it became an icon of the so-called VIP style, that is conversions of luxury sedans with lowered suspension and large wheels. The body with its low roofline and wide doors is typical of this generation.
The large smooth areas of a luxury sedan stand out best in a dark metallic shade, which is, however, demanding to apply evenly. The pigment in a metallic settles to the bottom, so stir the paint thoroughly and spray it in thin coats onto a smooth base; metallics are harder to overspray and to mask, so apply them at the end. Finish with a gloss varnish and polishing. Paint the chrome trim strips and window frames separately and fit them at the end; an interior in a lighter tone with a fine accentuation of the edges looks more convincing.
