About product

S.M.S. Bodrog in 1:350 scale from ROP o.s.

A resin kit of the Austro-Hungarian Danube monitor S.M.S. Bodrog in 1:350 scale from ROP o.s. The set consists of cleanly cast resin parts supplemented by a photo-etched fret with railings and small fittings. It is a kit for experienced modelers.

The real subject

S.M.S. Bodrog was an Austro-Hungarian river monitor of the Danube flotilla from the early 20th century. The ship entered history at the very beginning of the First World War, when she was among the vessels shelling Belgrade. The monitor was armored, carried gun turrets and was adapted for fighting on the river. The vessel has survived to the present day.

Building and painting tips

First wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut the casting blocks away carefully. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and protect your breathing while sanding. Attach the fine photo-etched railings at the end; the model shows well on a stand or in a diorama with a water surface.

Who the model is for

  • Collectors of the Austro-Hungarian Navy
  • Lovers of river monitors and the Danube flotilla
  • Experienced modelers of resin kits
  • Anyone interested in the naval history of the First World War

The model is supplied as a resin kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
