An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fifth-generation F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa. The model captures the F-35A version with conventional take-off and landing. The box holds plastic parts with fine engraved detail, a clear canopy and a decal sheet.
The F-35 Lightning II is a single-engined fifth-generation multirole fighter with features for reduced radar signature. The F-35A version is intended for the conventional airfields of a land-based air force and is the most widely used of the F-35 family. It serves with the US Air Force and with a number of allied countries as a modern fighter and strike machine.
Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement. For a convincing rendering of the low-visibility camouflage finish, a primer coat and an airbrush with subtle shades of gray are the answer; accent the panel lines sparingly so that the impression of a smooth stealth surface is kept.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
