This set from Hauler reproduces the spare track links that the crews of American M4 Sherman tanks and M10 tank destroyers commonly hung on the front and the sides of the hull as improvised additional protection. It is an aftermarket detail for models in 1:48 scale, not a kit in its own right.
The M4 Sherman and the M10 Wolverine were among the most widespread Allied armor of the Second World War. Hanging spare tracks, wheels and sandbags on the armor was very common in the field and it gives the model an authentic combat look.
Clean the cast parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and fit them to the hull. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Patina, rust and dust heighten the effect, because the tracks that were hung on were usually worn.
This is an accessory for the build; the model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
