A photo-etched metal set of covers for the 200 liter fuel drums used by the German army in the Second World War, in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Aber. The faithfully worked sheet-metal covers and securing parts complete drums loaded on vehicles or in a diorama. This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model.
Standard 200 liter drums served to carry fuel and are a frequent feature of supply and combat scenes. The covering plates protected the closures of the drums during transport.
Nip the parts out of the photo-etched fret and clean them up, make the bends on a bending tool or along the scored lines, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a coat of primer for adhesion. Shape the curved forms of the covers carefully over a cylindrical support of a matching diameter.
An accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
