A set of photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. This is not a stand-alone model but a detail accessory for a plastic model of the German Panzer IV tank in the Ausf.D Tauch version, that is in the form modified for wading under water. Photo-etched sheet makes it possible to render faithfully the grilles, the guards, the brackets and other thin features of the hull.
The Panzer IV Ausf.D Tauch was the wading variant of the German medium tank, modified for crossing water obstacles along the bottom. The tanks were sealed and fitted with a system for supplying air, so that they could get across rivers without a bridge. The modification came about in connection with the preparation of operations at the start of the Second World War.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over a ruler or a bending tool and glued with super glue. Give attention to the sealing and covering features typical of the wading modification. Degrease the sheet before painting and lay down a primer.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
