This set from SX-Art is not a kit and not an accessory to be glued on. These are self-adhesive masking stencils of the numerals used on modern Russian armored vehicles, prepared in 1:35 scale. The stencils are stuck to a painted model, oversprayed with the color of the number, and once they are taken off the numeral remains, formed directly by the finish.
Large tactical numbers are among the most conspicuous elements on a model, and it is precisely with them that a decal is most visible. It wrinkles easily over a larger area, a glossy edge remains after it on a matte finish and it often breaks where it crosses a gap or a rivet. A sprayed numeral has none of these faults, behaves like the rest of the finish and stands a wash and pigments without trouble. A set of numerals conceived universally also makes it possible to put together any number, not only those the decal sheet in a box happens to offer.
First lay the numerals out dry on the surface and only then stick them down, so that the spacing is regular. The base must be smooth and cured. Reduce the tack of a stencil by laying it briefly on clean cloth. Spray the paint thinned, in two or three thin coats at a low pressure, otherwise it will run under the edge. Take the mask off with tweezers as soon as the paint has set, at a sharp angle to the surface.
The package contains the masking stencils alone. A model, paints and thinners are not part of it.
