A precise detail set in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker MASTER. It is not a model of a ship but an accessory for raising the fidelity of a kit. The set holds turned metal barrels of the French twin 37 mm anti-aircraft gun with a barrel length of 50 calibers, the Model 1933, together with a resin mount. It replaces the coarser parts from the base kit. The exact number and breakdown of the parts follow the contents of the particular package.
The twin 37 mm Model 1933 gun was the standard light anti-aircraft weapon of the French Navy of the 1930s. It was fitted to battleships and cruisers, among them those of the Dunkerque and Richelieu classes. Because of its semi-automatic loading and lower rate of fire it was among the typical features of French armament of the day.
Separate the turned metal parts with a fine cut and line them up with the mount. Degrease the metal before painting and give it a base coat, a primer, for better adhesion. It is worth matching the barrels to the color of the superstructure, and the muzzles and the details can be brought up with a dark wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
