Russian Cruiser Admiral Ushakov (Ex-Kirov) 1:350 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian nuclear guided missile cruiser from the manufacturer Trumpeter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the Russian heavy guided missile cruiser Admiral Ushakov, originally the lead ship Kirov, in 1:350 scale. The model from the manufacturer Trumpeter is built with a full hull on a stand and holds photo-etched parts. Given the dimensions of the real ship, this is a large kit.
Kirov (Project 1144) is a class of nuclear guided missile cruisers of the Soviet and Russian Navy, the largest and most heavily armed surface combatants of their day. The lead ship was later renamed Admiral Ushakov. The main armament includes large anti-ship missiles, extensive surface-to-air missile systems with vertical launch, guns and anti-submarine weapons.
Count on having enough room, given the length of the hull. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and sand the long hull seams carefully. Glue the extensive superstructure and the photo-etched antennas with cyanoacrylate glue. The painting can be handled with an airbrush; a primer, graded gray shades and final accenting of the panels work well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
