This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter captures the two-seat version F-100F Super Sabre with an extended tandem cockpit. The model offers finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit with two seats, landing gear bays and pylons for weapons and auxiliary tanks.
The F-100F was the two-seat version of the first production supersonic fighter of the US Air Force. Besides the training role it also proved itself in combat, among other things as the pioneer of the suppression of enemy air defenses in the Wild Weasel role during the Vietnam War. The extended fuselage with the second cockpit is easy to recognize.
Glue with liquid cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. The double cockpit deserves careful painting before it is closed. Natural metal as well as the later camouflage can be rendered with an airbrush, and bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
