An add-on detail set from FineMolds in 1:700 scale. It holds fine castings of a triple mount of the Type 96 25 mm automatic anti-aircraft cannon with a protective shield. It serves to refine the light anti-aircraft armament of models of Japanese warships and is not a stand-alone ship model.
The Type 96 25 mm automatic cannon was the standard light anti-aircraft weapon of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Second World War. It was fitted in single, twin and triple mounts. The triple mount with a shield was one of the most widespread and was fitted on vessels of all sizes, above all in great numbers in the later part of the war.
Separate the castings from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect the fine barrels from bending. We recommend a primer, painting with an airbrush and a wash to bring out the detail of the weapon.
This is an add-on armament set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
