An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Chance Vought F4U-1 Corsair carrier fighter in the HI-TECH edition in 1:72 scale from the Smer brand. Compared with the basic release, the HI-TECH edition adds photo-etched parts for finer detail. The package holds gray plastic parts, clear cockpit parts, a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet.
The F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter with a powerful radial engine and a characteristic inverted gull wing. It served with the US Navy and the Marine Corps mainly in the Pacific theater, where it made its name as one of the most successful fighters of its time. The F4U-1 version is one of its early production forms.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Watch the correct angle of the gull wing and the seating of the radial engine. Join the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic, mask the canopy glazing before painting and spray the camouflage with an airbrush.
