This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher ROP o.s. It is not an aircraft model but an aftermarket set of markings for building a model of the Japanese carrier fighter Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero in the Model 11 version. The release concentrates on the machines of Japanese aces committed to the fighting over China.
The A6M Zero was an agile Japanese fighter with a long range and a Nakajima Sakae radial engine. The Model 11 version was an early land-based variant without folding wingtips; it was with this version that the Zero made its combat debut over China at the end of 1940, where it scored notable successes against Chinese aircraft and demonstrated its superiority.
The decals are intended for the widely available plastic models of the A6M2 in 1:72 scale. Apply them over a smooth gloss coat so that no silvering occurs; decal softeners help them settle. Unify the surface with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
