An injection-molded short-run kit of the carrier jet fighter North American FJ-1 Fury in the version with NAR markings (the US Naval Air Reserve) in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The kit is usually supplemented by resin and photo-etched parts and it is intended rather for more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; you will find the exact package contents in the enclosed instructions.
The FJ-1 Fury was one of the first operational jet fighters of the US Navy of the end of the 1940s, with a straight wing and an air intake in the nose. After it was withdrawn from the front line, part of the machines served with units of the US Naval Air Reserve (NAR), which is where the markings of this version of the kit come from. In its theme this variant therefore differs from the basic release of the model.
With a short-run kit count on cleaning off flash and fitting the parts dry; the joints may call for filling. Glue the resin and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the cockpit and fit it before closing the fuselage. The gloss naval finish and the colored unit markings come out well over a smoothly sanded base and a gloss varnish under the decals; unify the surface with an airbrush over primer.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
