A plastic kit of the German Tiger II (King Tiger) heavy tank with the so-called Porsche turret in 1:76 scale from Fujimi, out of their small-format military range. It is a small, uncluttered armor kit suited to dioramas as well as to a quick build.
The Tiger II, nicknamed the King Tiger, was a German heavy tank from the end of the Second World War with a long 88 mm gun and heavily sloped armor. Early production carried a turret with a curved front, usually associated with the Porsche design; on later machines this turret was replaced by one of simplified construction. It is precisely the early Porsche turret that gives this machine its characteristic silhouette.
A small armor model rewards careful cleanup and liquid cement for plastic; finish the running gear before you fit the fenders. Three-tone camouflage, possibly a Zimmerit coating, a wash into the recesses and dust pigments suit it for a faithful patina.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
