A relaxed, resting stance has deeper and more irregular folds of the clothing than a taut stance. For a modeler that means that the quality of the shading and of the edge highlighting shows more on the figure — and at the same time that there are more areas where the difference between the cloth of the jacket and of the coverall can be seen.
A casting of casting resin tends to be divided into several parts, so that the mold can manage the undercuts. The maker carries the mold seam lines along the natural edges of the clothing, so that they can easily be cleaned up once glued. Resin does not bond with cement for plastic. The figure is used as an add-on to a vehicle model in 1:35, for a diorama scene or as an object to be painted in its own right.
Wash the parts in warm water with dish soap, so that the mold release agent is removed. Cut the casting block off with a saw; never snap it off. Protect your airways while sanding resin. Glue with super glue (cyanoacrylate), fill the seams and spray with primer. Always try the figure dry in the place where you want to seat it — with resting poses the mating surfaces often have to be adjusted, so that the figure does not float above the surface. Paint in coats: the base, a darker glaze into the folds, a lighter emphasis on the edges. Build the skin with heavily thinned coats and leave the eyes until the very end. Apply a gloss intermediate coat before the washes and the pigments; a final matte clear coat evens the surface out.
