A kit of the American Ford LNT-8000 truck in its winter maintenance configuration with a snow plow blade, in 1:25 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Ford LNT-8000 belongs to the family of heavy trucks that Ford built under the L designation and that is known as the Louisville. They were the all-purpose working vehicles of the American road network: a boxy cab set behind the engine, that is, a vehicle with a long hood, a rugged frame and a body to suit whatever the vehicle was used for. The configuration that is the subject of this kit carries a snow plow blade at the front, that is, the equipment of winter maintenance vehicles that go out on the roads after every snowfall in American states with hard winters.
The 1:25 scale is traditional for American cars and trucks and the finished model is a substantial piece for a display case. The large surfaces of the cab and the body also leave room to work on the paint, the lettering and the wear, of which a winter maintenance vehicle deservedly has plenty, from salt to scuffs.
Cut surplus material and production marks off a little way from the part and sand the remainder down; test the assembly dry beforehand. Build the cab and the frame separately and join them only after spraying, so that you can reach every surface. Winter maintenance vehicles tend to be in striking colors so that they are clearly visible in snowfall; on the finished paint it then pays to add scuffs on the edges of the blade, salt dried on the fenders and dirt sprayed on from below. That is exactly what sets a working vehicle apart from a display-case exhibit.
Paints, glue and filler are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
