A set of wheels in cast resin in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit, intended for a model of the fighter F-15A and its two-seat version F-15B. It is not an aircraft kit. It is an accessory with which the landing gear wheels supplied in the box are replaced on a finished model. The set is designed for one specific kit, which the name states, so check the match with the model you are building in advance.
A wheel is a small part, but it is painted in two stages and skimped work shows on it at once. A procedure that has proved itself: wash the part, spray primer, then spray the whole part in the shade of the rim. Once it has dried, mask the rim, on round shapes best with a disc punched from masking tape or with a thin strip wound around the circumference, and spray the tire. Resin wheels tend to have a distinct engraved edge between the rim and the tire, which makes masking easier. Finally take the mask off and tune the boundary with a brush. Never paint the tire in pure black; a dark gray with a hint of brown looks more natural at this scale.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water, so that no mold release is left on them. Cut the casting block off with a saw and level the contact surface on abrasive paper laid on glass, otherwise the model will not stand straight. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate; cement for plastic does not work on resin.
This is an accessory in resin, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
