1:35 US soldier patrol operation FREEDOM N°2 is the second pose of the figure of an American soldier on foot patrol, 1:35 scale, made by Black Dog model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second of the pair of foot patrol figures from Black Dog model, again in 1:35 scale. While the item marked No. 1 offers a different carriage of the body, this version suits places where you want to set two figures side by side and suggest a relationship between them. On its own it serves just as well as an accessory for a single vehicle.
A pair of figures looks convincing only once they are doing something together. Place one closer to the viewer and the other a little further off, slightly turned; the difference in distance from the edge of the base gives the scene depth. A symmetrical arrangement on the same level, by contrast, looks more like a parade than movement through space. A small terrain divide between them, perhaps a curb or a small pile of rubble, links the two figures.
When you build two figures into one scene, mix the base shade of the equipment for both at once; even a small difference in tone shows at close range. Leave the differences to the upper layers: differently dusted knees, differently scuffed elbows, a different shade of gloves. Make the skin deliberately different, by contrast, so that the figures do not look like two castings of the same man. A matte varnish at the end unifies the sheen and hides the transitions between layers.
