This set brings a complete set of road wheels for models of the Israeli main battle tank Merkava in the Mk.II and Mk.III versions in 1:35 scale. It is not a tank kit but a resin accessory with which you replace the plastic wheels from the base kit with a more faithful casting with crisper relief on the disc and on the rubber tire band.
The Merkava is an Israeli tank with an unusually forward-mounted engine, which doubles as added protection for the crew. The road wheels with their rubber tire band are among its prominent recognition features. The resin castings offer finer detail of the valves, the bolts and the tread pattern than mass injection-molded parts usually do, and they liven the model up both close up and in photographs.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut the casting blocks away and true the surfaces. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways when sanding resin. The wheels can be painted separately before they are fitted, which makes the transition between the metal disc and the rubber easier to achieve.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, without the base kit, glue and paints.
