Photo-etched parts in 1:35 scale for the German Sturmpanzer IV assault vehicle of the Second World War. The manufacturer's instructions state the scope of the set.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sturmpanzer IV came about on the chassis of the German Panzer IV tank. In place of a rotating turret it was given an angular armored superstructure and a 15 cm howitzer inside it. The task of the machine was not to duel with tanks, but to support the infantry and break up fortified buildings, that is work at short range where a heavy shell does more than accuracy. In the literature the vehicle is usually referred to by the nickname Brummbär. It was committed to action in the second half of the war and was produced in several configurations, which differ in the shape of the superstructure and in their equipment.
A model of an assault vehicle lives or dies by its external details: the fenders, the covers, the grilles over the engine, the lifting eyes, the tool brackets and the armor skirts on the sides. In plastic these parts are inevitably thicker than the subject is, and on a finished model that shows most on exactly the large smooth surfaces that this machine has. Photo-etched sheet replaces them in a matching thickness. The manufacturer's instructions state which parts the package holds and which kit the set is designed for.
Cut the parts off the fret with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remains of the tag down. Make the fold along the marked score line in one movement over a metal edge. Try every part dry on your own model before you reach for the glue. Make the joint with the tiniest drop of cyanoacrylate. Degrease the sheet before painting and apply a base coat meant for metal, otherwise the finish will come off at the first handling.
The package holds photo-etched parts. The kit of the vehicle, the paints and the glue are supplied separately, unless stated otherwise.
