This set of brass photo-etch serves for the detailed improvement of plastic models of the Japanese amphibious tank Type 2 Ka-Mi (Imperial Japanese Navy) in 1:35 scale. It is not a model but an accessory that replaces and refines selected plastic parts with photo-etched components. The basic kit is not included in the package.
Photo-etch brings thin elements that cannot be cast faithfully in plastic: covers, grilles, clamps, holders and fine details of the hull, the turret and the detachable pontoons typical of this amphibious machine. The result is more accurate and finer work than the parts from the box.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bend them with a photo-etch bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or two-part epoxy. Finish the details of the hull before closing the model up. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer for metal.
This is a detail set, not a model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
