An injection-molded plastic kit of the American nuclear attack submarine USS Virginia SSN-774 in 1:350 scale from the manufacturer Hobby Boss. The package holds a full-hull model with a finely engraved surface, photo-etched parts, decals and a stand with a plate.
USS Virginia is the lead ship of the class of the same name of American nuclear attack submarines. They are multipurpose vessels with an emphasis on reduced detectability, intended for anti-submarine work on the open sea as well as for operations in shallow coastal waters. The boat entered service in the middle of the first decade of the 21st century and became the basis of the modern submarine attack force.
Glue the hull with a thin cement for plastic and sand the seams carefully, so that the smooth flanks of the submarine look of one piece. Attach the photo-etched parts with super glue. Apply a primer before painting. Modern American submarines carry dark gray to black finishes, so choose a matte varnish. Accent the fine panel lines and the hatches with a discreet thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
