The resin set Bf 109G-10 cockpit set from Aires in 1:48 scale. A detail resin cockpit for the late Bf 109G-10 fighter; it is not an airplane model but a replacement pilot's compartment for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail resin set of the pilot's compartment, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a resin form with a finely modeled instrument panel, side consoles, a seat and the frame. It matches the late Bf 109G-10 version, which differs in cockpit details from the earlier machines of the Gustav series. The set is intended for more experienced modelers; to seat it, the inner fuselage walls of the kit usually have to be adapted. It is made by Aires.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10 was among the late forms of the Gustav series from the end of the Second World War. It was powered by the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine in its late form, and the machine was marked by an aerodynamically cleaned-up cowling over the powerplant. The type served as a day fighter with the emphasis on speed and rate of climb.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin and ventilate the space. The cockpit is painted before the fuselage is closed; the interior is brought to life by a wash into the recesses, a dry brush on the edges and color separation of the seat harness.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
