This item is not a kit and not a model of an aircraft, it is a detail accessory for the cockpit. The set of 3D decals from the manufacturer Quinta Studio takes the place of painting and photo-etched parts for the pilot's space of the British SEPECAT Jaguar combat aircraft in the GR.1A version in 1:48 scale. It is shaped for the plastic Jaguar kit from the manufacturer Airfix.
A 3D decal combines a decal with 3D printing: it has real thickness and a three-dimensional relief, so the instruments, the levers, the switches and even the stitching of the belts stand out and cast a shadow. The part is finished in color beforehand, so the painting of the small details of the cockpit falls away.
The SEPECAT Jaguar was a British and French supersonic strike and reconnaissance aircraft. The GR.1A is the upgraded subversion of the GR.1 with improved navigation and attack avionics. The cockpit differs from the GR.1, which is why this set belongs to the GR.1A and is shaped for the kit from Airfix.
Remove the molded raised representation of the instruments from the plastic of the cockpit, so that the decal settles onto a flat surface. Bond with a slower-setting glue, which gives you time to seat it; the small parts are fragile. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage.
This is a detail accessory for modelers, not a kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
