An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet jet fighter MiG-17PFU, NATO reporting name Fresco E, in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model has an engraved surface, a detailed cockpit and landing gear and canopy glazing made of several clear parts. The external missile armament typical of this version is included as well.
The MiG-17PFU was the all-weather interceptor version of the MiG-17 fighter. Unlike the cannon variants it had its gun armament replaced by four guided air-to-air missiles and an additional radar, which made it one of the first purely missile-armed Soviet interceptors. It served from the second half of the 1950s.
Join the plastic with liquid cement and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage. The natural metal surface will stand out with metallic paint over a smooth base; mix it thoroughly and apply it with an airbrush at the end. Set the markings with a decal softener and overcoat the surface as needed.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
