An add-on detail set from FineMolds in 1:700 scale. It holds fine castings of a salvo anti-aircraft rocket launcher of 12 cm caliber with 28 launch tubes. It serves to refine the armament of models of Japanese warships and is not a stand-alone ship model.
Toward the end of the Second World War the Imperial Japanese Navy fitted salvo anti-aircraft rocket launchers of 12 cm caliber as a supplement to the automatic cannons. The multiple mount launched a salvo of unguided rockets against aircraft. These weapons appeared above all on later vessels and on converted ships.
Separate the castings from the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Protect the cluster of tubes from damage. We recommend a primer and painting with an airbrush, and a wash will help to pick out the individual tubes.
This is an add-on armament set, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
