Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American cargo ship SS John W. Brown, one of the so-called Liberty Ships, in 1:700 scale from Trumpeter. The box allows the model to be built either full-hull or as a waterline model thanks to the enclosed lower plate; it contains deck equipment, cranes, decals and instructions. The model captures the typical appearance of a mass-produced Allied transport ship of the Second World War.
Liberty Ships were American standardized cargo ships built in bulk during the Second World War. They were made with a simplified, largely welded structure, which made it possible to build them in enormous numbers and in record time. They carried troops, equipment and supplies across the oceans and became the backbone of Allied supply. SS John W. Brown is one of the few surviving Liberty Ships and today serves as a museum ship.
Glue the plastic with liquid cement and work in subassemblies. Decide in advance on the full-hull or the waterline version. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paints down with an airbrush; cargo ships benefit from stronger weathering, rust and wear on the hull. Finish the deck cranes and the small equipment and fit them at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
