A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models. It is intended for the two-seat combat trainer version Sukhoi Su-27UB, listed in the survey of code names as the Flanker-C. The sheet covers five camouflage variants, so several differently marked machines can be built from one kit. These are decals in their own right, not a model.
The Su-27 is a single-seat twin-engine fighter with a characteristically smooth transition between the fuselage and the wing and with two vertical tail surfaces. The UB version is the two-seat variant with seats in tandem and a raised rear cockpit, intended to train pilots with the option of combat use. Because of the second seat it has a different shape of fuselage spine and a different run of access panels, which matters for the placing of decals.
Sukhois are often built in light gray-blue camouflages, where every flaw under a decal shows. Spray a smooth gloss clear coat before application, then. Cut the decal out, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it moves of its own accord. Once it is settled, soak the water up and let it dry thoroughly, and only then work with the softener. The large national insignia on the rounded leading edges will call for more patience, and perhaps a small nick with a sharp scalpel where the film creases.
