A set of the three finest diameters, 0.5 to 0.7 mm, in the raised head version. Practical for anyone who does not know in advance which size will fit the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Settling on a single diameter from the desk is treacherous. By the time the model is laid out and you can see how big the caliper or the clip really is, it tends to be too late. A set of three neighboring fine grades postpones that decision until the moment you have the part in your hand and can hold the sizes side by side.
For a modeler starting out with metal detail who wants to get a feel for how the individual dimensions behave. And then for anyone who builds from various sources, combines parts and has no idea in advance what proportions will come out. The prerequisite remains equipment for fine work: a pin vise, good light and magnification, because all three sizes included lie below the threshold at which the naked eye still suffices.
If you already know from a previous build that one particular size suits you, it makes more sense to take it on its own. The set earns its place when you are trying things out, not for production work on dozens of identical joints.
Try all three sizes on an offcut, photograph the result and only then decide. The two remaining diameters will almost certainly come in useful elsewhere on the model, so nothing goes to waste.
Three sizes next to each other also serve as a visual reference. Hold them against a part under construction and you see the proportions at once, saving yourself calculation from tables or guesswork from a photograph.
