Resin underwing pylons for the Swedish JAS-39C fighter and its two-seat counterpart in the D version, in 1:72 size, from the Czech brand MH models. They replace the parts from the box, whose shape and section tend to be simplified at this scale, and are used when building a machine already under way. According to the item name they are intended for the Italeri and Bilek kits.
The Gripen carries several hardpoints under the wings and under the fuselage, onto which missiles, drop tanks and reconnaissance pods are hung. Their outline is conspicuous exactly because it is visible from every side and lies along the line the eye follows. An inaccurate profile shows even on a small model, whereas a correctly shaped pylon puts the whole external stores fit right.
Rinse the castings in warm soapy water so that the release layer from the mold disappears, and separate them from the casting block with a fine-toothed saw. Check with a dry fit how the pylon sits against the surfaces of the wing and level any overhang with abrasive paper. Cyanoacrylate holds reliably on the joint between resin and plastic; the solvent kind does not work here. It is advisable to paint them separately and to fit them once dry.
Paints and glue do not come with the set.
