This resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the Aires brand replaces the airbrakes of a plastic kit with more accurate resin parts with well worked internal detail. They make it possible to show the speed brake in the deployed position and so raise the realism of a model. It is not a stand-alone aircraft model but an accessory for an existing kit.
The Mikoyan MiG-29, NATO code Fulcrum, is a twin-engine fighter famous for its agility. It is distinguished by pronounced leading edge root extensions and good flying qualities at high angles of attack. The airbrakes serve to reduce speed quickly in maneuvering and on the approach to landing.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue. Bring out the internal structure of the brakes with a wash and a fine dry brush. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
This is a resin accessory for more experienced modelers, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
