Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov (KP) represents the American pre-war fighter Boeing P-26 Peashooter in the International edition, focused on foreign operators of the type. It is a short-run kit; the model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and its particular box contents and the decal options are stated by the manufacturer in the current specification.
The Boeing P-26, nicknamed the Peashooter, was the first all-metal monoplane fighter taken into service with the US Army Air Corps and the successor to its successful biplanes. Even so it kept a number of features of the older generation - an open cockpit, fixed (non-retractable) landing gear with aerodynamic wheel fairings and a wire-braced wing. Besides the US Army Air Corps, P-26s also served with a range of foreign operators, where some aircraft even saw combat.
A short-run kit calls for a more careful approach - clean the flash off the parts and check the fit dry. Glue the joints with liquid modeling cement for plastic. The bracing wires of the wing can be added from stretched sprue or fine thread. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting; a glossier finish and an airbrush suit the colorful pre-war schemes. Colored metal surfaces and striking markings come out well after a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
