SBS Model 1:48 Ki-44 Shoki (Tojo) - cockpit set is a resin cockpit detail set with photo-etched parts for models of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket detail set. It combines a finely cast resin cockpit interior (the tub, the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat) with photo-etched parts and replaces the simplified cockpit of the base kit with a richly detailed rendering. The set is intended for models of the Japanese Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki fighter (Allied code name Tojo) in 1:48 scale.
The Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki was a Japanese army fighter that put the emphasis on rate of climb and speed instead of agility, which was unusual among Japanese types. It made its name above all as an interceptor against Allied bombers. It was powered by a powerful radial engine.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks; bend the photo-etched parts exactly along the engraving. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the interior and bring it out with a wash before the fuselage is closed up.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and serves to improve a base kit, which it does not contain.
