Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American North American P-51B Mustang fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale from ICM. This edition also holds a set of figures of USAAF pilots and ground crew, so you can easily turn the model into a lively scene beside the aircraft. The kit offers finely engraved detail, a well worked out cockpit, a choice of the standard or the bulged Malcolm canopy, and external stores.
The P-51B was the first mass-produced version of the Mustang with the Merlin engine and the razorback rear fuselage. Thanks to its long range and its performance at high altitude it became the key escort fighter that protected the American bombers over Germany. The enclosed figures of pilots and mechanics capture typical scenes beside fighter aircraft on frontline airfields.
Use liquid cement for plastic and build in subassemblies. Finish and paint the cockpit before closing the fuselage. For natural metal schemes, metalizer paints over a smooth surface prove their worth. The figures stand out when painted in layered shades, with fine accentuation of the faces and the equipment. Apply a primer and put the paints on with an airbrush, and treat the glazing with masks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
