Plastic kit MiG-27 Flogger-D in 1:72 scale from Academy. The Soviet ground-attack aircraft with a variable-sweep wing.
Responsibility details are not available.
Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft Mikoyan MiG-27 (reporting name Flogger-D) in 1:72 scale from Academy. The model has an engraved surface texture, a detailed cockpit, underwing armament and a wing with an adjustable sweep angle.
The MiG-27 was a Soviet ground-attack aircraft derived from the MiG-23 fighter and optimized for strikes against ground targets. It had a variable-sweep wing, a reworked nose with good pilot visibility and fixed gun armament supplemented by bombs and rockets on pylons. It served with a number of air forces of the Eastern Bloc and beyond it.
Glue the plastic parts with a thin modeling cement and give attention to the variable-sweep wing mechanism. A base coat and painting with an airbrush are the right approach; multi-tone tactical camouflage schemes are typical.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
