A self-adhesive strip of roadway with stone paving of the so-called Roman type in H0 scale from the Heki company, measuring 100 x 8 cm.
Responsibility details are not available.
Paving of irregular stones belongs in the old parts of towns, in courtyards, by town walls and on roads that were driven on long before asphalt. On a model it is at the same time one of the most laborious surfaces, because irregularity is harder to imitate by hand than a regular grid. A ready-made strip saves you that part of the work.
The strip measures 100 x 8 cm and is prepared for H0 scale, that is 1:87. The eight-centimeter width corresponds to a real roadway just under seven meters wide, and a meter of length to roughly 87 meters of road. With one piece you can therefore cover the run through a whole historic center.
Level the surface, dry it and remove the dust. First lay the strip in dry, check the direction of the pattern and the joins to the areas around it, and only then uncover the adhesive layer step by step and press the surface down from the middle out to the edges, so that no air stays under it. You adjust the shape with a sharp knife against a steel ruler, making the cut in two passes.
Stone paving stands or falls on the toning. A thin dark deposit runs into the joints and separates the individual stones, while a dry brush draws out their tops. The middle of the roadway tends to be worn and smoother, and dust and moss hold at the edges. Set a few stones off in a different shade, so that the area does not read as printed and regular.
The package holds the strip with paving. A surface, the paints, curbstones and the other accessories of scenery are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
